About Me

Lucinda (Lu) has a love for many things. Running, baking, cooking to name a few but her love for reading is on the top of the list. Having accomplished many things in her life, Lu had always wanted to write a book. As many people can relate, she let her fears get in her head and was hesitant to take the leap of faith. That changed in late 2023, when Lucinda took the leap and set out on a journey that has been life changing, challenging and liberating.

Her first self published book City Roots: the Neighborhood is book one in a series, that is a love letter to background and heritage. Being a proud Cuban, Puerto Rican from the Bronx, NY, Lucinda hopes that her readers have all the same feels, she has when writing her books. 

I write twisty, emotional stories about smart women who feel too much, trust a little too slowly, and always end up uncovering something they were never meant to find. Think: deep friendships, late-night confessions, suspicious text messages, and that one moment when everything changes. My characters don’t always have it together—but they’re real, resilient, and maybe just a little nosy (in the best way). If you love heart, humor, and a little heat served with your secrets, you’ll feel right at home here.
